The actress spoke to ET on the red carpet at the final season premiere of HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm.Cheryl Hines has an idea of how she would approach the job of first lady if her husband became president.
Speaking to ET’s Denny Directo on the Season 12 premiere of Curb Your Enthusiasm, the 58-year-old actress laid out her top priorities should her husband Robert F. Kennedy Jr. win the election in November.“World peace and world happiness,” the “Curb Your Enthusiasm” star said sarcastically. “Listen, I’m ready for whatever comes. I’m ready for it.”
Kennedy, whose father, Robert F. Kennedy, was assassinated during his own presidential campaign in 1968, is currently running as an independent to become the next president of the United States.He is the nephew of the 35th President John F. Kennedy.
During a recent candid conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, Hines described what it was like watching the entire “fascinating” situation from the “eye of the hurricane.” As the wife of a Kennedy and a presidential candidate, this also includes greater precautions for her.
“I’m taking more precautions than ever before,” Hines told the outlet, describing a recent incident at his home.“I was here doing an Instagram Live and when I look out the window I see a man in our backyard. Then I see our security guard intercept him and take his gun.”
Hines and Kennedy married in August 2014, almost three years after they began dating in December 2011. It is the actress’ second marriage; The first was with producer Paul Young, with whom he shares his daughter Catherine Young. Hines is now Kennedy’s third wife.Overall, it’s a season of change for Hines. The upcoming 12th and final season, celebrating more than 20 years alongside Larry David on the hit HBO series, is bittersweet for the working mother who founded Curb Your Enthusiasm before her daughter existed.
“She [Catherine] wasn’t born yet when I started working on Curb. We talked about it in the car ride, it’s a little hard to believe,” Hines tells ET, adding that her daughter – who she brought with her to the premiere – grew up on set.
The actress says that what she will miss most of all is the fun and improvisation of the show, which she described as being “at summer camp,” adding that there isn’t much she won’t miss about being with her TV -Family is together.“We had a lot of fun together, you know? Because it was improvised, everything was light and fun and I felt like I was at summer camp,” Hines says of the show, which premiered in October 2000. “I Lo “I will miss everything.
