Australians have 4.1 million more reasons to get vaccines against coronavirus. The Million Dollar Vax campaign, which will begin Monday, offers anyone fully vaccinated in Australia the chance to win a variety of prizes. This includes daily gift cards up to $1,000 and a jackpot of 1 million dollars. All you need to know.
What’s the Million Dollar Vax?
Million Dollar Vax Million Vax is an incentive campaign that provides daily prizes to fully vaccinated Australians. While other countries have used government and other incentives to encourage vaccinations, Craig Winkler of the Million Dollar Vax Alliance stressed that the prize pool was meant to be a “reward”.
MYOB was founded by Mr. Winkler in an announcement. “The promotion is intended to reward those who choose to get vaccinated immediately, rather than waiting. This will help us reduce the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the community.
When is the Million-Dollar Vax Drawn?
The competition will begin on October 4th and 100 daily prizes will be available throughout the month of October. All Australians over 18 years old who have had their vaccines completed within the last six weeks and have received both vaccines within that time period are eligible to win $1 million dollars.
How do you enter?
You must go to the new website to be eligible for the chance to win the million-dollar prize. You can enter if you are at least 18 years old in Australia. Those who have had their vaccines completed within six weeks will still be eligible to win.
Who will be donating the prizes?
The Million Dollar Vax campaign does not provide incentives. The funds are instead being offered by generous donors. These donors include Jasper Foundation, Susan McKinnon Foundation and P&S Bassat Foundation.
Some chose to remain anonymous as they wanted the emphasis to be on “giving back” to the community, not their contributions. The alliance is described by a “group of philanthropists, corporations with the goal to increase Australian COVID-19 vaccine rates above 80 percent nationally as quickly and safely as possible.”
Other Vaccination Incentive
For fully jabbed Australians, the prospect of $1million could be a huge boost. This is not the only incentive to get vaccinated. These are some additional incentives available to fully-vaccinated Australians:
After their state has passed the 60% double-jabbed mark, Deliveroo and Hungry Jacks customers will get large fries free of charge with all orders over the weekend.
Qantas frequent flyers aged over 18 can get a special reward through the Qantas App. You can choose from 1000 Qantas Points 15, 15 Status Credits, or a 20% discount on Qantas or Jetstar fares.
Qantas’ Mega prize draw sees 10 winners win one year of airfare, fuel, accommodation and international destinations after the borders open.
Telstra: Telstra Plus members who have been fully vaccinated can earn up to 2500 Telstra Points and enter the 100 million point prize draw.
