Discord is a chat app that gamers use to send and receive text messages. They can also communicate via voice channels. However, they might encounter errors while connecting to the voice channel such as “Discord No Route”, “RTC Connecting Discord”, etc.

The support page discord outlines the three most common errors users face when using

Discord App.

  • There is no way to discord

Although there are many errors, the causes of them all have the same names. These errors have the same causes and solutions. We will discuss the solutions to each of these problems together. All of these problems can be solved by solving no sound on youtube.

Here’s a way to do it. This article is your guide. For discord spoiler images, please read the article. ||

How do you check if you have a problem?

If you are wondering how to check if the problem is still on your disk or not then just open https://test.webrtc.org/ and see whether you see some error or not.

We will discuss different ways to fix the problem in this article. We recommend that you open the above-mentioned website and verify every time that the problem has been solved.

Let’s first discuss the problem before we can solve it.

Discord No Route, RTC Connecting Discord, ICE Checking occurs?

We are not sure what caused the Discord No Route, RTC Connecting Discord, ICE Checking Error. After talking with community members who experienced this error, we came up with some possibilities:

Discord won’t work with a VPN that doesn’t support UDP Connection.

Your resources are stuck because the IP address associated with your computer has changed.

  • The discord has been blocked by your network administrator.
  • Third-party antivirus or firewall is blocking discord connection
  • QOS is not supported by your network
  • The server’s voice area is not compatible

Discord Solutions No Route

We understand that you want to find the solution, not just to fix the problem. Some people don’t want to find the cause of the problem and solve it themselves. I won’t go into detail about the reasons. Let’s get to the solution for “Discord No Route”, “RTC Connecting Discord”, or ICE Checking.

Solution 1: Restart Computer and Router

Yes, that’s right. Although it may sound absurd, the simple solution to most computer problems is a restart. It takes just 2-3 minutes to restart your computer and router, even if you don’t think it will solve your problem.

Rebooting your router and computer fixes the problem. The dynamic IP (frequently changing IP of your device) can interrupt the IPV6 connection and cause errors such as “Discord No Route”, “RTC Connecting discord” and “ICE Checking”.

You can feel more like a computer geek by restarting the computer as follows:

  • Start the run command. To do this, press “Control + R” on your keyboard.
  • After the run dialog has opened, type “cmd” to hit enter
  • After opening the cmd, type ” shutdown /r” then hit enter. The /r parameter will cause your computer to restart.
  • Alternatively, you can also enter “shutdown/r” in Step 2 after you have opened the run dialog.
  • Restart the PC and restart the router. Simply unplug the router and plug it into the main power supply.

Solution 2 Using the VPN

RTC connecting to discord, ICE error section and reason for discord no routing are all examples. A VPN connection without UDP can also cause them. It is best to disconnect the VPN if you are connected via VPN.

Open discord app after disconnecting from VPN and verify that it displays the discord no route or RTC connecting discord.

Sometimes you may need VPN to access restricted areas or for privacy reasons. VPNs with UDP connections are recommended if you must use VPNs. The following VPNs are recommended:

  • Nord VPN
  • Surf Shark VPN
  • Express VPN
  • CyberGhost VPN
  • IpVanish VPN
  • Private VPN

Any of the VPNs mentioned above will work in Discord.

Solution 3 – Resolving the DNS

Some members of our community reported that flushing their DNS solved their discord on route or RTC connecting discord permanently. Others mentioned that they need to flush their DNS often to fix the problem.

Flushing DNS can resolve the discord, no routing, RTC connecting discord and ICE checking error. It clears all cache files that the operating system has stored. This includes the log of websites visited. It doesn’t matter if it takes you a few days to fix the most frustrating issue with Discord. To flush your dns, follow the steps below.

As in the previous step, open the run command. To do this, press “Control + R” on your keyboard.

After you have opened the run, enter “cmd”.

After you have opened cmd.

This is for flushing your dns. Go back to discord to verify that the problem has been resolved. If the problem persists, then proceed to the next step.

New IP Address

As stated, IP Address is the main reason why our discord has no route, RTC linking discord or ICE error. To test if it fixes the problem, we can assign a new IP address to our machine.

Here’s how to assign a new IP address.

As in the previous step, open the run command. To do this, press “Control + R” on your keyboard.

After you have opened the run, enter “cmd”.

Once the cmd has opened, click ” ipconfig/release Enter ” This will allow you to see the current IP address stored on your computer.

You can see that there is no “Connection-specific DNS Suffix” or “Default Gateway” in the screenshot. This is because our IP Address has just been released

After you have released the IP Address, click ” ipconfig /renew “To assign a new IP address to your machine,

Now you are all set. You can now open discord to see if the problem has been solved.

To ensure that there are no cache remnants from the old IP address, you can flush the DNS

after

steps 3 and 4.

If that doesn’t resolve your problem, move on to the next step.

Solution 4: Changing browser

Discord no route, RTC linking discord, or ICE checking error may be caused by browser issues. If you have Discord app installed and are experiencing the problem, it is a good idea to look at your browser too.

Switch to another browser or Desktop app if you have an issue with your browser.

The problem can be fixed by changing the browser/application.

Solution 5: Using the QoS

Discords uses the High Quality Package to transmit audio. However, the Quality of Service (QoS), which is used to transmit audio, sometimes fails to work for certain routers. This can cause discord on the route or RTC connecting discord. To solve this problem, we can disable Discord QoS.

Follow these steps to disable Discord QoS

Open discord, and click the setting tab at the bottom right near your username.

Next, click on “Voice and video” on the left-hand side of the panel.

Once you have disabled the QoS, go back to your discord channel and reconnect. You should now be able to fix the discord no route, RTC discord connection error or ICE checking error.

If the problem persists, we will need to verify that the Network Manager has not disabled Discord.

Solution 6: Checking the Network Manager and Changing DNS

The Network Manager may have disabled or blocked Discord usage in their network if you are at school, college, or work. This will prevent Discord from being used during school hours or in the office.

This can be easily bypassed by using a simple DNS trick. Discord may not be blocked by the Network Admin, but sometimes Discord cannot connect due to the DNS of the internet. This can also be fixed by changing your DNS to Google DNS, or Cloudflare DNS.

  • Google DNS
  • Preferred: 8.8.8.8
  • Alternate: 8.8.4.4
  • OpenDNS
  • Preferred: 208.67.222.222
  • Alternate: 208.67.220.220
  • Cloudflare DNS
  • Preferred: 1.1.1.1
  • Alternate: 1.0.0.1

I mentioned DNS for a well-known provider above. These DNS can be used to resolve the Discord issue. These steps will help you change your DNS settings in Windows 10.

Open the Control Panel. This can be done by entering “Control Panel” into the search bar, or running.

Solution 7: Whitelisting Conflict in Windows Firewall and Disable Third Party Antivirus

You should discontinue using third-party antivirus in Windows 10. It will only slow down your computer. Window Defender is better than any third-party antivirus.

Discord should be whitelisted in your antivirus if you do not use Windows 10. Different antiviruses have different steps. You can check the FAQ section on the antivirus website. Or, comment below and we’ll post the steps to whitelist the antivirus application you mentioned. This article will cover whitelisting in Windows Defender.
