You can access it at smile.amazon.com using any web browser. AmazonSmile gives you the same great shopping experience that Amazon.com offers with AmazonSmile. AmazonSmile donates 0.5% from eligible purchases to the charity you choose. You can support more than a million charities.
What are the criteria to be considered for charitable organisations?
Participation is only available to organisations that are in good standing and have been registered as 501(c) with the IRS. Private foundations cannot be used to support public charitable organisations. If supporting organisations are not identified as Type I, II, or functionally integrated Type 3, they may not be eligible. Eligible charities must reside in at least one of the 50 U.S. States. Organisations must submit online bank account information in order to receive donations.
Organisations that encourage, encourage, or promote intolerance and hate are not eligible for participation. Amazon uses the US Office of Foreign Assets Control and the Southern Poverty Law Centre to determine which charities are included within these groups. The AmazonSmile Participation agreement must be adhered to by charitable organisations in order to maintain their eligibility. AmazonSmile is available to all charitable organisations. We only accept charitable organisations in good standing who do not engage in the activities listed above. We cannot guarantee the good standing and conduct of any charitable organisation. What is Amazon Smile Foundation?
It is a private foundation under 501 (c),(3) that has been created by Amazon to manage AmazonSmile. It is also known as the AmazonSmile Foundation. All donations made by Amazon.com, Inc. subsidiaries go to the AmazonSmile Foundation. The AmazonSmile Foundation donates the funds to charities chosen by our customers. Amazon pays all expenses related to the AmazonSmile Foundation. These expenses are not deducted when donations are made through AmazonSmile.
